The first one is a postal stationery cut-out but any info I may have[if any] is not available at present. The second is SG207 or 207a depending on what you can see on the area to right of the 'd'. [Dots or vertical lines]. |

The first one is not a cut-out, Londonbus1, it's from a 1853 cover. Thank you, Londonbus1, for the info, and thank you, khj, for correcting me on the typo. I appreciate it. |

As Londonbus1 has already mentioned...the first one is a 1 penny rose or 1 penny deep rose stamp impression on postal stationery. The dark line above the impression is a "silk" thread. First produced in 1841 with the thread across the impressed stamp then with the thread above the impression. It can be dated as pre-1855 when the envelopes had dated impressions without thread. |
