I've been using Lighthouse stockbooks as I revive my collection but one limitation I found is that the fixed number of pages means either I have to cut off a country earlier than I might wish or have extra blank pages because a coutry is too big for 16 page book but too small for a 32.

Also discovered that Vario pages have come down quite a bit in price from some online retailers, to as low as US$15 for a 5-pack 25 pages (5 packs of 5) of double sided pages.

Just got my first supply of Varios in stock and...I'm a convert! The stamps look great, and the flexibility of the loose-leaf format is a wonderful new removal of limitations.

Page from my Algeria collection I am currently transporting over. One of my favorite French colonial sets. Just lack 3 values to complete.

I love my vario pages BUT...

Make sure you do the math on how many stamps are going on a page and how many pages fit in an album. I've had to reconfigure my collection a couple of times because vario pages take up so much space.

I like that page you laid out. Very nice!

I buy new but damaged 2 strip or 2 half page vario's + others for packing larger items.

Pages that are unpopular because of the way they are divided up I can get very cheap as well. They are great to cut up for that image of a stamp set. Also vario with no binder holes can be found cheaply as well.

I will also take the clear plastic off a full page or half page so as to cover stamps on a parcel after they have been cancelled for protection.

The vario is a great way to go for many reasons. They are a big part of what I do that is for sure!I even use part pages for filing stamps etc.
