I found this tattered little mailer amongst some papers in that metal box I was given. It just commanded my attention so I took a closer look. It's kind of neat really. It also bears an interesting auxiliary marking stamped in red "INSURED Fee Paid 5 cents" and a White Plains, New York wavy roller cancellation. May 11th. 1956.

Frasek Stamp Company of. White Plains, New York.

Here is a PDF of an (February 11th 1939) issue of their magazine.

I can't add all that much. The Frasek Company was around since at least the 1930s through at least the 1970s. Here's a cover being sold on eBay that refers to the company name as the addressee:

By the looks of internet search engines, it would appear they specialized in approvals back in the day, which was very typical of the time.

Incidentally, the addressee on the cover shown in the original post, Marion V. Button, is noted to have died in 1990 as confirmed by this link:

Here's a sample of one of Frasek Company's approval ads appearing in a whole range of magazines ... from Life to Popular Mechanics to Popular Science to this example from Radex in 1939:

Wow! Thank you wt1! Marion Button was my Great Grandmother from my step-dad's side of the family. Very interesting. Thanks again! I know you like old stamp company covers and just thought you might like to see it.

I was going through some old items and came across this correspondence from Frasek Company that I thought might be of interest to someone looking for more information on the former company.
