This one was on its way to either the Mischlings pile (stamp & subject are from two different countries) or the Maritime pile (not your grandfather's cruise ship) (okay, maybe your great-great-great-...) when I noticed the addressee.
I could not find a company listing for CR's Co, Inc.
Color me uninformed, but I just don't know enough TV history to figure-out (or to google-up) the proper name of the company to which this postcard is addressed.
The incomplete names of the addressee & senders (which I have redacted) were no help, either.
I tried googling Sid Caeser (company name, office address), for whom Carl Reiner was working at the time.
I tried looking at tenant lists of the Empire State Building (a/k/a 350 Fifth Avenue).
IMDB lists "Max Liebman Productions" as the producer of The Show of Shows (where Mr Reiner worked for Mr Caeser), and Mr Liebman's NYTimes obit mentions his moving to the West 50s in ~1953 but not, sadly, from where.
Q/ So, what might the proper name of this ESB-officed company be?
Extra points if you can guess the book mentioned in the text ;)
