OK PayPal is in the process of closing my account. Long story. But for now what other service do you use and why?

If you're buying and selling in the USA, you're in a bit of trouble. I rarely see other currencies on the auction sites.

But I'm not as active as some other members, so we'll see what they say.

Kirk,

I'm looking at the Skrill website and they seem to have a USA presence. I've seen them on the Delcampe site alot even though they are geared towards the European buyers/sellers. I guess I need to review the Bidstart site also to get a idea of what the buyers/sellers use.

Good point. Of course, you know ebay doesn't want any currency other than PayPal, since they own it.

ebay accepts Skrill and ProPay in addition to PayPal, although the VAST majority of buyers only use PayPal.

Looks like some sellers on Bidstart do use Skrill, so that's a good sign.
And I don't sell on ebay, so no worries there.

When I sold items on Delcampe, maybe 5-10% of the buyers paid me with Skrill. PayPal still was the majority payment method. One thing I don't like about Skrill is that they hold onto the payments for awhile.

There have been some leaked ebay videos showing them explaining what Bitcoins are. I would expect ebay to hop on the Bitcoin bandwagon at some point.
