The seller must be doing a happy dance!
A quick look shows the same two buyers competing for at least some of these, which is all it takes.

Wert, maybe we need to jump on the bandwagon and order some of these, send them to one another and put them up on ebay? Peter |

the big "winner" on the auctions I looked at places an unusually high initial bid, and 69% of bids are with this seller. Then a bidder with about 30% but much lower feedback makes a very big second (and third and fourth...) bid. Just never big enough to win.
Just the facts. More money than sense would be my kindest guess as to what is going on.

I've sold copies of the post office brochures for picture postage at quite a healthy price. So I've known for some time there is a large - international - interest in these. |

Many of the personalized stamps created, and even circulated, from some of the 60+ participating countries are not LESS meritory than that Canadian personalized stamp. In fact...:)...some are even MORE interesting! |

I think this is the most elusive Picture Postage stamp: #1991C (2003) used as intended with tourist depicted on the Arctic Cruise. It was "Buy It Now" $400 Cdn or "Best Offer". The latter option was taken so it went for somewhat less than the $400. Postmarked Saanichton, B.C. March 5, 2004. There are lots of the older frames and plenty of mint offerings of the Arctic Cruise on ebay but I've only seen this one offered once (as such). Just last month: July 22. |
