Not sure if this is a stamp, but it does appear to have a value printed on it. The picture appears to be a reclining tiger. The number printed on the stamp has various significant connotations. Thanks for any assistance.

Welcome to SCF. It's not a postage stamp - quite possibly a revenue due to the hand cancel. The picture looks like a sphinx to me.

You have the bottom half of a Belgian revenue stamp, perhaps from the 1929 series.

Looks to be Belgian fiscal tax stamp - or at least half of one...

Thanks a lot. So it is a stamp of sorts. Too bad I don't have all of it, as is, it doesn't appear to be of any value.

I think myself that it is still a nice thing to have. An example of a stamp and of the ink and paper and overprinting tecjniques etc, etc. I son't have one myself. I only have some Indian half-revenue aph stamps. That is how they come, half of the stamp.

Perhaps this one also?

Makes me want to see if I can get a full whole one and investigate what it is all about perhaps.
