Hi

First off, triangle shaped, not diamond shaped.

I use Showgard mounts for everything. I never cut a mount to size with a stamp in it. However, to cut an odd shape, triangle, diamond, etc, I break this rule as I have to cut the mount without the guillotine.

Hawid makes, or used to make, a glass ruler and a cutter:

First I place the stamp in a mount, in the case of the triangle with the point at the top.

The ruler has a line about 2-3mm from the ruler's edge (on the right in the picture). I align this line along the stamp just a little outside of the perfs and cut with the supplied cutter. I must stress carefully so you do not cut the stamp. This method leaves a small mount weld at the top. If one uses open top Hawid mounts then there will be no top weld of course.

Without the cutter I guess one could use a ruler and a razor blade, for clean cuts. But again, carefully!
