This was in a glassine marked North German Confederation #60. I looked in my 2011 catalgue to no avail. Dont have a michel cat to check there. Please advise if anyone can identify this stamp

Hello,

Looks like this one would be in the "Southern District" and I believe since it has the lines in the roulettes it would be Scott 60(1867). The other option is Scott #56(1865) but that one has higher cat value. I only have the 2000 Catalogue which has the values at $1.30( for #60)and $15 (for #56). I did see a few examples of this one on ebay if you care to compare.

Wadmalatz is correct, it is a Thurn und Taxis issue. Possibly the 1859-1861 issue.

According to Michel the 1859 issue was imperf. This is probably the 1865 issue which was rouletted 15½ - 16.
