I scored 8 Netherlands embossed revenues at a local stamps show.
The face values are 50c, 75c, 1Gl, 1.25Gl, 1.75Gl, 2Gl, 2.25Gl and 6Gl. I paid $3.00 for the set of 8.



I think these are from the 1860's and are probably listed in one of the Barefoot Revenue catalogues.

These are indeed from 1862. They are meant to imitate wax seals, hence the albino embossing and the scalloped edges. Due to the shape, they are nicknamed frying pans.

Barefoot (2007) lists some 51 different values.

The one on Rod's page looks like it is printed (not embossed), so I believe that it is a different revenue.
