Hi Everyone,

I have accumulated a great deal of duplicate stamps, or others that really are not in the range of my current collecting interests. Where are some of the places where you donate your extras?

Might be an interesting discussion to see how everyone handles their extra material.

-Craig

I volunteer with a kids stamp club, so I never have to worry about where to donate anything extra.

Boystown (of father Flannagan fame) visitor center still has a world class coin and stamp museum. They also also had/have the worlds largest stamp ball. This is where I learned about stamps in high school in the seventies.

I usually help schools start a stamp club with excess material. Just enough stamps to share so they are 50% full albums from 1900's up.

Might I suggest showering Turbojay with some stamps? See his comments from 10/9/14 at 5:07 pm and up-thread and down-thread there.

Usually I take them to the church. They sell them off and do charity work with the revenues.

I send mine to the APS. I know they do a lot of things with kids at their shows as well as their Stamps Teach program.

I donate to a few organizations, one of which is Stamps for the Wounded.
Mr. Hotchner, a well-known philatelist, accepts donations for this organization that helps our wounded vets.
