A relative in my family gave me a set of albums containing covers from an outfit called the Postal Commemorative Society which he apparently purchased 30 years ago or so. He heard that I was coming back into stamp collecting and thought that I would be interested in these. I was duly appreciative, but I'm not into this type of material. Are these things (there must be a couple of hundred of them) worth anything and, if not, would anyone have a suggestion as to what I might do with them that would be a constructive solution to my having them collect dust on my shelf?

Thanks much for any advice.

Two suggestions: Delphi's stamp collecting forum has an FDC sub-forum (and a buy/sell sub-forum as well). The ASPPP.ORG folks might also be a useful lead as these appear somewhat related to "philatelic pages and panels." . O/W there is always <sigh> ebay.

Just a little chime in: I have been using 'PCS' as a 'broker' to help with acquiring commemorative FDCs since around 1976. I use to participate in a couple of other PCS programs but it became really expensive (and I found stamp shows) so I dropped those but retained the current FDC program as a convenience. Yes I think they remain expensive but the convenience is there. ( I am planning on dropping their program at some point). They originally used one of the better known cache makers for their product but several years ago they started designing their own caches. The covers are probable not worth much more than the current catalogue pricing. Depending on the cache maker and the range of years your acquisition goes to (pre-1960??) the lot might have minimum value as a whole (the information panel does not enhance the cover value). jmo Good luck!

I have a book full of these as well and they also are just "dust collectors" sadly. Maybe I'll do something with them constructive here soon?
