This card was mailed from Quebec 30 April, 1898 according to the message text on back. But I can't figure the cancellation partial between the stamp and Philadelphia. Anybody help?
I believe that the cancellation you are referring to may be a 'carriers' marking of some sort (?) Once it reached the city the card was destined for, a carrier would apply his cancel before going on his route.
