I have seen a few listings on ebay with reference to the new perforation 11.85, especially for # 351 with plate 3 and plate 4 with new perforation 11.85 which are very scarce compared to perforation 11.95 which is very common for plate 3 and plate 4. With regards to # 351 with plate 5, I would suggest all who don't have this plate 5 to get it because it was issued around the spring of 1966 according to the book "Canadian Wilding and Associated High-Value Definitives: Paper Texture, Printings, Periods of Use" by Robert J Elias on page 53 and it was replaced on February 8, 1967 by # 462 stamp which gave it a short run for plate # 5 which only has new perforation 11.85.

I just received the updated version of Julian Golberg's booklet on the Perf. change of 1962.
There are about a dozen new entries, bringing the total issues affected to 22.
I have been able to track down 13 of them. The Postage Dues are hard to find.
Does anyone have a plate block of the $1 grey totem in the new perf?

I have two SC321's with the 11.85 perforation.
- Plate 1, horizontal ribbed front, upper left
- Plate 1, horizontal ribbed back, upper left

BlackJag: What perforation gauge did you use? Stanley Gibbons Instanta, Supersafe Unitrade, Scott/Linns, Kiusalas or another one.

"PERFECT GAUGE" - no idea where I bought it from, but possibly Robin Harris' Adminware site.

It doesn't scan well.

I got mine from the Canada Post Office (Perfect Gauge).

Mine is also a Perfect Gauge brand exactly like
yours BlackJag, except it has the Unitrade Associates
and Uni-Safe logo imprinted on the bottom.

I find it adequate but odd that it's only useful from
perf 10 on.
And how many stamps are perf 18 ? Are there any ?

Maybe we could have a thread about what has been the
most common perforation.

Anything between perf 12 to perf 14 range was/is
quite popular except for many of the coarser coil
perforations.

I use this one to gauge the differences between the old and new perforations (which I marked on the gauge itself.)

The Perfect Gauge appears to be a copy of the Unitrade Associates Uni-Safe Perfect Gauge.

The horizontally ribbed front is from an older issue that isn't found after 1958 according to "Canadian Wilding And Associated High-Value Definitives: Paper Texture, Printings, Periods Of Use" by Robert J. Elias, page 77.
