Some Olympic collectors might remember a checklist by Mark Maestrone and Joan Bleakley named "Olympians on Stamps". It was issued on paper in 1994 or so. Was sold only to Sports Philatelists International members.

Well, I created my own checklist. If anyone is interested...

Hi Pasha,

Well done! That is quite a list.

I only collect Canadian Postage stamps, but in reviewing your list of Canadian stamps with Olympic themes I see that your starts with the 1996 Olympics (Scott 1608). In fact, Canada issued Olympic stamps much earlier than this! The first ones that I have were for the 1976 Olympics and issued in 1973 (Scott 623). A list of Canadian Olympic themed stamps are included as part of my website - http://www.stamporator.com/T-Olympic.html

The list includes not all the Olympic stamps, but only stamps with SPECIFIC Olympians on them. :-)

And I do have one of the Canadian 1976 Olympic stamps in my checklist:

Canada B11

Borys Shakhlin (USSR), Gymnastics, S1956(2G)/S1960(4G+2S+B)/S1964(G+2S+B)

The stamp depicts a gymnast and does not specify which one, but the photo is of Shakhlin.

For those who can read Spanish. "El Podio Olímpico" (The Olympic Podium). Written and published in Barcelona in 1994, by my late friend Sebastiŕ Sabaté, it has full information on the Olympic games from Old Greece to Barcelona'92. It contains the list of all olympic winners from Athens 1896 to Barcelona 1992, plus information and illustrations of all the stamps showing Olympic winners, issued up to 1994.
