I recently came across the stamp in the photo.
It is Uruguay Parcel Post stamp Scott # Q79.
What puzzles me is the "CITA S.A." overprint.

I know CITA S.A. is a transportation company in Uruguay.
Could this be a pre-cancel or something else?

Any assistance in identification would be appreciated.

Private overprint to prevent theft or unauthorized use of their postage stamps.
