Whats In Your Library?

A recent addition for me. These were purchased in very poor condition with pages falling out and covers almost entirely off (very cheap but just not usable). I used a local book restore service that usually deals with old bibles. They took the covers off the original books and mounted them to new boards, stitched the pages back together and generated the spines to match the originals. The gilded edges are still good and the book is now usable. I was very pleased with the results. (took about 6 weeks but worth it).

Great book from the Swedish Postal Museum on the first issues.

I just purchased this one today. Finally it should be possible to positively identify shades of the Classic French!



The advert states (Google translated)

I have no clue how this brochure actually looks inside, however I have found an image of its predecessor. (this earlier version did not cover the first Ceres and the latest Perf Ceres)



Now I can't wait to revisit France!

(Will try not to spill any tears for all those Ceres and Napoleons in difficult shades I once had and did not manage to identify. They are long gone into lots for sale ...)
