Very nice arrangement chipg. I particularly like the enlarged insert that shows the stamp's variation. Well done. |

Hi chipg,
I really like your inclusion of scans of variations as well as the front side of the Large Queens so that you can show the paper type.
The only thing that I would change, and this is a personal preference, is to mount them with a black background.

Outstanding presentation, on top of Great material. What kind /size paper do you use for those pages? And do you print using laser or are comfortable with ink-jet printer? |

Giles: I found some new/old stock Frank Godden De Luxe albums. Gorgeous leather. Gilt edged pages. New versions of these albums are ungodly expensive. If I hadn't found the old ones at about $100 each, I never would have gone this route. The pages are 10.25" high and 9.25" wide, with the grid size about 8.25" high and 7.15" wide. New pages for the album are available from Stanley Gibbons, though they are expensive. I print them on a wide-format Epson ink jet printer. It takes some coaxing to get them to go through the printer, but I've gotten pretty adept at knowing how much pressure and when to apply it to get the paper to feed. On the other hand, it's focused my collection - no way will I put an ugly stamp in such a pretty book. As a result, still a lot of empty spaces. Very impressive. Great stamp with a nice presentation. Would it be possible to get a large scan of the 15c large queen with the reentry ? |

Really great material displayed in a nice understated and classy way. Wow!
I never know how anybody can reliably classify the papers and shades of the older Victorian material. Unless you buy them from somebody who can guarantee what they are selling, it requires experience handling many stamps of these issues to get a handle on papers/shades. Well done! |

Coriandre: It's on its way to the Greene Foundation (with some other stuff). I had a question about it.
Giles: Of course. I don't mind blank spaces. |
