Received today the catalogue for Maresch & Son

It takes me about 35 minutes, depending on traffic
of course.

When's the auction Litho? Maybe I'll make it to this one.

I got the catalogue for the next Brighton Auction in March. I can barely afford to turn the pages!

I hear you. I've gone to 4 of the previous Maresch auctions
but have never won anything.
I probably only raised my hand 3 times and one time
it was to scratch my nose.

But it is fun being there.

The viewing starts on Tuesday February 17

Just received my catalog today. Lot of outstanding material coming up at the auction. I wish I can win the 6-49 before the sale....

Hi Tommy. The Maresch Auction house is in Toronto. I may pop up after work one day.

It's actually - I'm quite sure - in Willowdale. Been there - and you can park right in front (an unknown Toronto concept)

Got my catalog last night. The Newfoundland section was particularly short and weak--so nothing for me.

I've bought quite a few covers and items from them over the years--always high quality, though who likes the bidder surcharge, eh?

I agree with you there.

Buyer's premium of 15% and add here in Ontario
13% sales tax (federal 5%, provincial 8%)
You add that up and some of those winning bids don't
look that attractive.

You at least don't have to pay the sales tax and with the Canadian
dollar down at around 80c US there are some deals for
American bidders.
