To follow up on Rods Faltpost stamp, they were supplied as return postage on the back of envelopes supplied by the Swedish Army Postal Service from 1941-42

They provided postage free correspondence both ways between military personnel and families at home. The cover was intended for use by the soldier to write home, while the stamp on the back, which would be cut out, was for use by the family to reply.

Thanks for posting, James.
Not seen these before, a very handsome cover indeed.
(Borrowed your scan, hope that is OK)

Rod, as you can see comparing your faltpost stamp, the one on the cover above and this one, there were various printings and variations of these ranging from grey to dark blue.

Rod222: IMO The sex ore looks like a forgery to me.Below perfs 14&13, I think forgers frequently covered up their clumsy work with fake cancels.
Used stamps are always more convincing to the unwary..

wasn't going to share, since I thought the topic settled and I agree.

there's nothing wrong with the shown 6øre, the cancel is also correct Enköping. all the debate about diaeresis is also correct.
Enköping exist in quite a few different cancels, as do many other swedish cancels.

stamp is genuine, apart from a short perf, it's a solid copy... off center is as commented more common that not, so your stamp is well centered.
for swedish collectors the cancel is everything.

6øre perforation 14 varies in color like no other value. I had these lying in a box from picking through collections ( I also work on plating swedish ring stamps.)

I agree with Sorsh - Rod's 6 øre looks genuine to me as well. I do not have my Facit specialized with me (I am at work offshore), but it seems the stamp has some interesting features at 'GE' of Sverige. I do not know if that's a listed variety in Facit.

blaamand, it's a common thing.. reason is wear on the clichés... happens alot in all values.
i see nothing noteworthy on the stamp in regards to varieties.

perf 14 will be extremely difficult to work with for me, mainly because pairs strips are very rare. single stamps are something costly to add, covers even more so.

i focus on the perf 13 with posthorn on the back to start with...
