I won those 2 on ebay without knowing if they are genuine or not. The only thing I knew whenn betting was that they were in the Unitrade catalogue as a pair. Only 100 were printed We all know the classic imperf pairs #136, 137, 138 but 110a and 112b I searched for more info with Google, Wikipedia... NIET! Nothing Here are the images of the two stamps. Anybody know something more on this? I'm seriously thinking of VGG

Margins are WAY too small. Probably trimmed 110 and 112. Recommendation ... Don't buy.
Oops. Already bought. Recommendation .. Don't spend any more money on certification. |

OUCH! Hopefully you didn't pay too much and can return them, because no way those are legit.
There's a reason imperfs are priced as pairs... |

I don't think the Greene Foundation will offer an opinion on these. They would have to be pairs to get an opinion. |

I concur with Partime that they are trimmed perforated stamps. I wouldn't waste money on a certificate unless the seller was willing to pay for a bad cert. A simple test is to place the "imperf" on top of a perforated copy. If the margins of the imperf don't cover all of the perfs ... beware. |

There is no doubt when I read your reaction! I have 14 days after receiving the items for a complete refund and the seller pays for the shipping! I will compare them with my #136 like wert dit it on this post Thank you all for your excellent advices... as usual . Hi Koala
Please do not bother to send these two stamps to the Greene Foundation for certification as we will simply return them along with a letter stating "no opinion" and a cheque refunding your fee.
You may have the real thing there but, in my experience, the vast majority of imperf singles are fakes that with clipped margins.

I agree that yours are perforated stamps that have been trimmed. Here are scans of the correct ones. Scott 110a: Scott 112b: - stamporator - |

The preponderance of evidence and the majority certainly agree that it is an uncertifiable item. Of course, I have seen other items offered on ebay stating that they have a Certificate, and yet the attached certificate states "No Opinion". I guess if the seller refuses, and worse comes to worse, you could always use a "No Opinion" letter from VGG and claim that you were upset about the letter, but that's the way it is, then offer them as 110a and 112b, with Certs. On second thought ... don't do that. |

Nice real ones shown here, wow.
I think the paper is too white. May be cut outs from a magazine or Gibbons catalogue or some such. Postcard even.
Neat to share a scan of them when they arrive though please. |
