Got a new Nexus 6 smartphone and have seen pictures of magnifiers that one can clip to a smartphone and then use the screen to see the image. Any recommendations regarding brands, amount of magnifying power (i see a lot of 60x magnifiers on Amazon but that sounds overkill for stamps). Any advice appreciated.

You might not need to get the clip-on hardware stuff. There are apps at Google Play which turn your Android phone into a magnifying glass just using the existing camera lens. You might check to see if they have one which would work for you. The one I use is published by "Cozy" https://play.google.com/store/apps/...ozyMag&hl=en

Terry, I use this app on my Galaxy S4. It's neat. The downside for me is that you need to have reasonable illumination.
