Take a look at the number 6 on the clock on the stamp. It is IV . . which is actually 4. On the real clock it is VI but the base of the letters is oriented to the center of the clock.

Here is another one..Some of you might have seen this before, but doing it for the benefit of new people...This Scott # 351 has the "CENT" sign before the actual amount..Should be after the amount..MISTAKE..?

------------------------------------------------------------------------

Also Scott # 442...Looks like the buildings are right on top of the lake.

I wrote about the Commonwealth 1983 $2 design errors years ago in the Canadian Philatelist, (or was it BNAPS? ), complete with illustrations. I cannot find it at the moment.

There are many other design errors besides the missing Antarctica.

New Britain and New Ireland are shaded green for non-members of the Commonwealth, though they are part of member Papua New Guinea. The Republic of Nauru and Western Samoa in the Pacific, and Gambia in Africa are omitted altogether. The North Cape of New Zealand is separated from the North Island, it is actually a peninsula. Gibraltar is colored yellow indicating independent status which it does not have.

HI Peter..Good one..See how the water surrounds the buildings..Strange.

Or maybe they are house boats...

------------------------------------------------------------------------

Here is another strange one...This Scott # 233 shows a solid band where the yellow arrows point but turns out to be a dotted line as it goes under the medals where the blue arrow points...Weird..??

Wert, that is a lumber mill "on the water". It is actually on piers. Maybe the stamp was based on this photo:

Here is the information on the mill.
