What is the catalogue mainly used for knowing the values of Chinese stamps ( Popular republic)for selling them :

- In USA
- In Europe
- In the World

Is it Scott ? Michel? Stanley Gibbons? A Chinese one - and then which one? Other one?

Is there a reference catalogue like Scott for the States or Michel for Germany or Yvert for France?

Which one is more serious about the prices ?

Thanks for your answers.

I'm sorry if I was not clear. The Yang catalog only cover PR of China starting before the Long March in the earlier 30's.

Ma's will take you from the beginning of the Empire through the Republic transfering their capital to Taipei!

I can show you extracts at this time since I'm at work and the books are at home!

There are more Cataloges!

Here is a writeup on Chan, which includes a page view:

http://www.michaelrogersinc.com/Mic...ticle-4.html

I looked for a page view of the Yang catalogue and did not see one. This is not a catalogue I've ever sought out, so I can't speak to the contents. PRC is too new for my classic-era interests.

I would pick up a Chan if I came across one at a good price.

I suspect that Gibbons Part 17 is the only full China catalogue in English. I've found it more than enough for my needs, but I'm not a specialist!

Older versions appear on ebay at reasonable prices.

@warrehouse
I am not interested about a particular information.
I want to buy the correct stamp catalogueS for Chinese stamp.
I have the Scott for China, Michel 9.1, Yvert world till 1940,
But not specialized catalogues.
I am also consulting (20130207) Not allowed by the Staff and worldstamp.

Regarding China, I can buy all directly in China ( I have a correspondent there).
But, of course, these catalogues are in chinese language ( that I don't understand)

I only want to see how the catalogues you bought are presented ( columns, numbering, currency ......)
And to see the cover; so, I can ask my correspondent to find them in the Chinese market and to send to me.
