Westfield Stamp Club Show
2015 March 8
I went to the The Westfield Stamp Club Show on the 7th of March 2015. It was a small and intimate show and very rewarding. I saw an Inverted Jenny stamp for the first time. It was thrilling! I enjoyed looking at the exhibits very much. The dealers were friendly and very accommodating. I bought stamps and asked questions about stamp collecting which the dealers kindly answered. They were very informative. Thank you to all the dealers and the stamp club. It was worth my time braving the cold weather and attending the show.

eastsideislander,
Nice to hear you enjoyed the show. I recently attended my first live dealer gathering. Coin dealers out numbered stamp dealers 4 to 1. I've only been seriously collecting for a few years, but more experienced folks in our Forum -- and the dealers I met recently -- indicate that there has been a decline in numbers of stamp collectors, and the active collectors have tended to be older in our age.

As a marketer I wonder what course might be taken to engage more younger folks in this digital age.
I recently posted an invitation for a Meetup.com stamp collector gathering in my area.
I'll see if anyone comes.
