Perfect - almost having a candlelight dinner with your loved ones. I like it

Imagine what the they would do in the early age of philately, prior to electricity?

Never left the kids unattended, not for a moment, drip pans under
each too. Had battery led lamps and hurricane lanterns too.
Don't like the dark house during outages, let there be light.

Ha...my neighbors thought I was crazy for installing a diesel generator in garage prior to moving into my home. I live in an unincorporated part of the county...lots of trees, lots of power lines stretched between leaning poles...houses spread out...you get the picture.

There were a few occasional power outages that lasted a day or two for the first couple years. But in 2006 we had a pretty big storm come through just before Christmas and felled trees all over the place. Power was out for 10 days. It was sure nice to wake up to a cup of hot coffee and take a hot shower.

I shared with neighbors, but as you can imagine many of them purchased a generator in the aftermath. :)
