I picked up a few items for very cheap, and am finding that several are valued at Unitrade at a more significant value. For instance, this is a Wilding Corner block that has the center tagging, so would be identified as 340p, Plate Block -- right?
In any case, here is an example with a slight ink color in the upper left. Bad plate wipe?
Hi Partime, that is a pretty block. And that is either a bad plate wipe or a scratch from a tool. But it has to have a plate number for it to be a plate block, I believe.
Liiks more like a dropped tool rather than a bad plate wipe. Seems that the plate wipe would be a smooth solid line instead of the irregular seperated line we see here. JMO, for all its worth!
Hi Peter and Phil. Thanks for the info on the probable tool drop/scratch. Looking at Unitrade, there is wording that indicates the 340p Plate Block is what is known as a "Blank Corner Block". I'm just checking if people are reading this the same way.
So a block of four, first identified as 340 worth about a buck, is really a 340p, PB with a Unitrade value of $25.00? Excellent. In that purchase, I also got:
(4) 337p Plate Blocks (3) 338p Plate Blocks (7) 339p Plate Blocks - Plate 1 and 2 (4) of these 340p Plate Blocks (3) 341p Plate Blocks and a few others.
