jlaporte, I think chipg may be your best alternative -- a springback album solves the need to match your 2-hole punch pages. I have recently been researching hingeless US albums for my own collection. So I have received a number of sample pages from various publishers/manufacturers. This allowed me to compare the paper quality, the printing quality and general page design layout. One thing that is common, it tends to be the European album makers that tend to produce the larger trim size page formats. And none of the pages from the companies that I am familiar with use 2-hole punch pages. My sample from Schaubek measures 10 7/8" wide X 11 1/2" high, so the size of their binder would accommodate your pages. However, there are 6 punch holes. Unless you spring for the $$$ and buy the French binder, your best bet appears to be a springback album.

Dcaraz, thank you for the advice I believe as well that a spring back would be my only alternative to avoid re-perforating and modifying the pages. Would you have any advices on where I could find those binders in the U.S.

Dekka, I hope you will enjoy them. Which store did you order them from? Do they ship to the U.S. ?

I am looking forward to getting the pages. Should be shipped in the next couple of days. I ordered directly from the Ceres Web Site and they will ship to the US. The Site is all in French of course but they were very helpful. They have beautiful stuff. Tommy

jlaporte, Here are some possibilities:

Kabe Schaubek has a Screw Post (2-posts) item # 800L capacity 150 pages but did not see dimensions $56.95; and a Springback Binder model 800AK capacity of 130 pages, for $99.95; again no dimensions on the catalog PDF, could not find a dealer website.

Mystic Stamp Company www.mysticstamp.com has a All-Purpose 2-post Binder that might match your pages; Product # ES920 measures 11" X 11.5" with 2.25" spine; call to find out what the measurement is between the two posts. Retail is only $12.000 so this is not a luxury binder.

Lighthouse has Perfect "DP" turn-bar binder which is a 2-post that measures 11.25" X 12.5" for $72.95 (find out distance between posts); also Luxus "DL" springback binder measures 11.5" X 12.5" for $92.95

http://www.album-de-timbres.com

Here is the link to the site that I found.
I thought that it was directly to Ceres but I believe it may just be a retailer. I have had some difficulty with their site and have had to do most of the transaction through email. They have someone who speaks English. Actually it may be the same people that you sent me a link to.

There doesn't seem to be much information about these albums out there. This is the only site that I found that sells the Albums and Pages. I guess it is the cost. I was lucky in that I only wanted a limited range of pages.

Hope this helps.

Tommy

Schaubek's standard binder is peg-fitting. This UK site shows a few that are available:

Schaubek and Lighthouse both make springback versions of their peg or ring binders. Most US dealers don't stock them. However, I'm sure you can contact one of them and they can order it for you to come with their next shipments.

Thank you for everybody's answers. I have been looking at Schaubek's binders. I appreciate the tip of asking dealers to get it even if it's not part of their catalogue. Some of the suggestion are almost as expensive as the original binders for my collection so it is not that good of a deal but I think I will be able to find happiness with all those suggestions !

I ordered yesterday two lighthouse Grande for my U.S. collection, I will see how the Ceres Presidence pages fit in it and if I'm not successful that I will look at the Schaubek. The lighthouse springback is superb but too highly priced.

@Dekka, yes this store is the same one that I got my pages from. I believe they are the official Ceres dealer or something. Good to know they can ship directly to the U.S. If I may ask you how did you pay for your order? I'm in the process of ordering some stamps from France from a dealer who normally does not ship to the U.S. The store asked me to pay the order through an international wire transfer. It is not a huge order and I know that my bank will charge me so much for that transfer that I won't use wire transfer for this order.

I paid with my credit card. I did however have to call my bank and let them know I was making a international purchase. I agree that a wire transfer would be way too expensive. Paypal is the easiest way to pay if they accept it.
Have you looked at this site

http://www.martins.fr/index.html

They have a good selection of stamps and their service has been outstanding. I don't know how their prices compare. I have only made some lower cost purchases. Let me know what you think about the store.

I did suggest to pay them by credit card or PayPal but I will have to wait for their answer. Good to know that I can get the ceres presidence album pages without going through my family.
For Martins, I did see this website, they are not so well priced and the drawback is that I'm trying to get with some stamps the Cnep sheets and I did not find them on Martins'website

Well the dealer I'm looking for, went through with the credit card information so the deal is done!
I'm looking at Philatelie50 http://www.philatelie50.com/ they are well priced and their selection is very good. I found cheaper other places but I would have had to go through different suppliers to get what I wanted and it would make things more complicated.

Well I received my Grande yesterday and it is a no go with the Ceres Presidence pages. It would work if the ring mechanism was centered but because of the offset the pages would be popping out. I will keep the lighthouse Grande for my US collection and I'm looking for something else for France.

I have my eye on the Schaubek diplomat. I would have to perforate but that is acceptable. I'm not a huge fan of there 2 post which is flat. The spring back would be great as well but is too pricy. I will have to check with Schaubek for sizes.
