Canada 109c Re-Entry?

Continuing my hunt for re-entries, I found this item in my duplicate pile and found some interesting details. It is a Die II.



What I am seeing is a line across the entire bottom, and lines above the letter in several places. In addition, the center oval and some internal features are duplicated. It is a very minor re-entry, or a kiss-print, I'm not sure.









I'll send it off to Ralph for his comments, but it is currently not listed on his site.

*bump* Anyone have something similar? Kiss print?

Partime..Here is a couple of mine for comparison...Nothing like what you have...Yours could very well be a "shifted transfer"...Maybe a good idea to send it off to Ralph at "re-entry.com" to see what he thinks.

I just got an answer back from a very busy Ralph:

"Yes, your 3c carmine Admiral is indeed a re-entry, however, these will likely never end up in Unitrade, as they are fairly minor and we are trying to get as many major re-entries as possible listed before we get into the more minor stuff. I have a great many of these, but haven't taken the time to add any of them yet. Still nice to collect, though."

So, one more to add to the collection, and the search goes on ...

Wow..Nice partime...good for you...But I think maybe, just maybe yours is a DIE I...On DIE II, the "R" of THREE is suppose to touch (almost) the oval above..?
But then I could be wrong..?

Sorry wert, that Admiral is definitely a Die II. The latest Unitrade catalogues have really clear images showing the differences. You can also see the differences explained at http://flyspecker.com/109.html.

Nice very minor re-entry. In addition to the doubled line at the bottom of the value tablets, notice how thick the main frameline is at the bottom of this stamp.

Don't overlook the doubling in the leaves either.

Yes to both. The bottom of the stamp seems to get progressively worse the further down you go. The white, horizontal lines look like they would almost disappear given a few more millimeters.

The definition of a "major" versus a "minor" eludes me for the most part, but I think that this is almost like a kiss-print or minor double transfer. In any case, a keeper!

I'll post some others later that Ralph is working through. (All probably minors, but ...)
