Excellent example, John!

Yes, those links provided by wt1 would be genuine misperfs, as opposed to a miscut booklet pane.

In the 4¢ Lincoln example shown in the OP by Mike, there is nothing wrong with the perforations. It is the right straight-edge of the booklet single that has been miscut. Therefore, his example is NOT a misperf.

Not really an error, but a freak. An error would bbe if there was a color missing. And please, you need to work on focussing your camera or use a scanner!

Your picture is very blurry, but to me it just looks like a poorly centered stamp. Generally EFO collectors would want examples that are more off-center, ideally in a dramatic fashion: for example, if your example was so badly centered that "5c U.S. POSTAGE" appeared at the bottom instead of the top, that would be a very good freak. If "5c U.S. POSTAGE" appeared half at top and half at the bottom, that would still be a decent freak, though not as desirable. In this case it looks like the "5c U.S. POSTAGE" just barely reaches the perforations, which IMO isn't quite enough to call it a freak example.

Sometimes a pooly perfed stamp results in a real curiosity item, as in this Sc #1866 (I know...wrong forum). Without a reference copy to help, which is real?
