If you had a U.S.A. Mint NH, #39, what would it be worth in today's legal U.S.A. money?

Hope I stating this correctly. If you wanted to return it to the Post Office, (not even sure they do this), how much money would they give you.

No, I'm not suggesting anyone do this, just suppose if!

Cheers

Dave

It would be worth nada, as its demonetized. Cant even (legally) mail a letter with it, although it would cover the rigid envelope rate and then some. Is that the question?

I would hate to see this stamp with a spray on cancel.

If you change the stamp to a #72, it's still worth $0.90 as postage. Most post offices don't buy back old stamps, but if they did they would give you that same $0.90 in exchange.

Demonetized is correct! Well Done, raymodj!
