Hi

I have this Azores Parcel Post stamp that appears to be a Scott #Q1. However, if it is #Q1, it does not have the word "REPUBLICA" on it while my example does. I am also leery about the overprint too because the "E" of "REPUBLICA" is raised (?) I am wondering if this is a fake overprint, or, was it to be used fiscally only??

Any help would be appreciated.

I do not see an additional "REPUBLICA" overprint on Azores stamps mentioned in the 2009 Afinsa Portugal catalog.

And why would a stamp issued ten years after Portugal became a republic be overprinted "Republca"? Someone playing with a printing set?
