Being a member of this board encourages me to spend more time puttering around with my stamps. I have a cigar box full of odds and ends. Today, I pulled our a few to share. There only real value is in catching my eye.

Like Dave N., I enjoy airmails. I don't have anything as nice as his collection from Hungary, but here's a nice plane on C11 from the Belgian Congo -- it has a whopping catalog value of 75 cents :-)

Kirk...does the value really matter, if you truly like the stamp ?

Hi Airmail lovers,

I have been accumulating various W/W Airmail stamps for awhile now. I recently received a batch from a kind person in Israel. A couple of them were from Belgian Congo. As I was identifying them and updating my W/W Airmail checklist, I realized that The Scott Catalog lists only about 17 different Airmails from the Belgian Congo and it turned out I have accumulated most of them. I decided it was time to print out the 2 pages of Belgian Congo Airmail stamps from Bill Steiner's album pages and share with you all here... Then I noticed this thread had been started and decided to add to it.
If anyone has some of the ones I'm missing, I'd be interested in trading for them.

Keep 'em Flying!

Dave N.

Yes, yes, do tell. Is it pointless to look for them, or are they easily found? Or somewhere in between?

Sorry boys,

quoting Schultz "I know nothing"
Posted rcsd newsgroup circa 2003 IIRC.
Was an ebay pic, I'll dig around for any text I kept,
but I dont recall seeing an explanation.

I'll check the Richard Witt cinderella collection database as well.

Update:
not at richard witt

AskPhil: Detachment U.S.A.: bogus, overprint on stamps of Belgian Congo.

That's all we have at the moment.
