The variety type of this stamp is called a changeling, unless of course, it is proven to be an error in printing the incorrect color. Now there are a number of reasons for the color having changed.
It could be chemical composition of the ink, oxidization, the sun, etc. If you google - stamp collecting changeling - you should get a number of websites on this topic.
If you have CBNC printed copies of this issue take a few and place a heavy card over half the stamp (original color) then expose the unprotected side to sun light for a while. The stamp color will change on the exposed part and the normal color will remain on the unexposed portion of the stamp. Be sure to expose the printed side or this does not work.
