Hi! Thanks for all the comments - it is appreciated. I do have the blank and quadrille Scott pages to "match" the international pages, so that is a plus. And I suspect I'll feel a lot better about the thing when the transition process is over.
That being said, IF I had known four years ago when I jumped back in the hobby that my interest would be so great and lasting, I would have plunked down the big bucks for the new Amos (?) pages that replicate the Scott Brown albums of many years ago.

Quote: I wonder if anyone has tried to replicate the look of the "Blue" pages when creating their own? There are a couple of options available. You can either print a Steiner page (or other homemade page) onto a blank International page or - something I've started to play around with - you can make whatever text you want, print it out on cream-colored paper, cut it out, and (somehow) attach it to your blank International page. I will post a scan whenever I get around to actually doing a page |

I cheated and scanned a page, then blanked the center out and pasted the border into my pages. That's why I have Scott Specialty borders on my International sized pages. :) |

Seems like I tried that, but was unable to get the entire page in my scan |

Quote: I prefer the Specialty border to the International border, though I prefer the International binders and page size. I take the Steiner Pagemaker files, remove the border and replace it with a Specialty border scanned and resized to match the smaller pages. Of course I pretty much always move the stamps around and add more varieties than Scott lists. Here are some sample pages. Bill, I have been trying to do the same thing Problem that I run into is that it takes up a lot of time to edit all those pages and it takes A LOT of ink with the added borders, etc.. In the end, I might just got back to using the good ole BigBlue! |

Just a note .....I use HAMMERMILL 24 lbs. Ivory paper ,acid-free paper I purchase 500 sheets for $16.00 on Amazon . I also keep a separate hole puncher adjusted to the 2 post of the Internationals ,if you look around you can still buy a adjustable hole puncher. The paper is smaller in size but it has not been a problem . I use over 1,000 pages per year and never wanted to pay for custom made pages because I written notes on these pages and then make a new page if new material is added . The stock number on this paper is 104406 from Hammermill. |

The other thing that can be done is to slide these pages in back-to-back in a page protector. Then use a hole punch to punch two holes to match the Scott International binder. The pages in page protectors are about the same size at the Scott Int pages, and they are now in the same Scott binder, both sides, without the need for interleaving.
Could be useful if someone just wants to supplement a few countries in their BigBlue. |

It's sad that AbumGen just include the Specialized borders, it will be nice to have the Int, too. But AlbumGen with Spe. borders make very beautiful pages as you can see |

Going back to my comment from May, I don't think Scott ever issued page dividers for the International Series as I thought. I know longer have the box, but I recall it was a company, maybe from Chicago, called Harco that issued those dividers. I use them sparingly. It's possible Specialty dividers may also work; right now, I'm using down the much thinner dividers from a remaindered Minkus Mexico album that I bought 3 years ago. The Minkus dividers are going in the Intl. binders of material that I will be selling. |
