I have a couple of dozen early Greece stamps (Hermes heads) that I bought about 20 years ago. I have been trying to ID using Scott without much success. Is there a better source that might simplify the process?

YES ,go to STAMP AUCTION NETWORK and view the many hundreds of scans that the different firms have especially the Greek firm and use those with the catalog for a basic understanding . |

In addition to the SAN information, a leading Greek auction firm and dealer, A. Karamitsos, publishes a catalog which you can get on their website for 20 euros. Not sure it will simplify the process, however, given the different printings and varieties of the Hermes heads. I have a copy of the 2014 catalog and it's still a tedious task that I have not fully mastered yet. |

I'm wrestling with Hermes Heads right now. I checked the auction network. I'm a returning collector. I've been using ebay to buy stamps. Would see other auctions be better? |

The dealer who specializes in Greek stamps, A. Karamitsos, that I noted earlier has periodic auctions that you might want to check out, if you haven't already. |
