This is so God awful hard to watch, isn't it? I hope the high bids are shills but to think someone out there is about to be swindled like this is very hard. He'll probably mail them a picture of a stamp and abscond with the money. And, ebay doesn't seem to give a flying fig about it. |

Has anyone figured out the value of the slabbed stamps? I know the Jenny came close to $1 Million when it sold in 2007. But I was wondering about the others. |

Im sure he is real concerned about that!
That's not the point. The "point" is to get a permanent record of it in a public forum. Can always depend on you for pointless comments..... |

It's obvious this scammer gathered photos of premium stamps from the web and is offering them for sale (like sellers of iPhone photos). The certs have no connection whatsoever to the "stamps" being sold: Hopefully ebay will end the listings. If not, at least the gullible buyers will be refunded in full. |

As of this morning 24 bids have been cancelled I guess and the price has gone from $7600 down to $532. |

The cancelled bids must be his shill - the 133 fb bidder had bid 10,000 on it before retracting

Do you think this that is an example of someone trying to build up a perfect record on ebay and then going for the big steal in offering something expensive that they don't have and running away with the money once that they have been paid for it? |

Would actually calling ebay about this item do any good - assuming one could actually get someone beyond the first line CS rep? |

I asked the philatelicfoundation about the cert and the stamps. This is their reply: "The ebay posting is obviously a scam. The C3a cert is a real one, BUT, the stamp shown in the cert, and the stamp being offered, are not quite the same; look carefully." Looking at the perfs in the 2 pictures they obviously differ in the corners. |

The seller will be in Polynesia when the listings end! (already setting up the reason for slow shipping). Quote: On Jun-29-15 at 07:58:19 PDT, seller added the following information: Hello everyone, I'm going on holiday in Polynesia from 1 July to 20 July 2015, in case of purchase thank you to wait my return, go to all great vacation well deserved, cordially |

Yes indeed, that is true, but I think someone looking to find these particular items would have a hard time searching here. I might be wrong. If I am, I apologize. |
