I recently added a set of MNH Prexies to my budding U.S. collection and I have to agree with the rest of you - I kind of like them. In fact, I'm growing fond of all the defenitives of the last five or six decades. |

I love the Prexies! I tried to specialize in the plate blocks for a brief period before I came to my senses and went back to collecting worldwide.  It was with this series that BEP worked on the Experimental-Eye perforations. Here's a tidbit that most of you likely already know, but... The first 22 whole denominations (1c-22c) correspond to the actual president number.  k |

In the last big US lot I got it had one or two with precancels, let me see if I can't find them. |

"Prexies" is the nickname for the Presidential Series that started in 1938(?).
Thanks for the wonderful scan of the PBs, 1775mac!
If we look at the 1.5c Martha Washington blocks, we can see examples of pre-Eye (left 2 blocks) and Eye blocks (right block, notice introduction of the guide lines). |
