I agree with CHASA'a assessment however food for thought, there is a single-line "Corry Pa." provisional precancel in a similar script (Caps & Lower Case) as illustrated on page 221, "Postal History and Usage of 1907 and Earlier Precancels" by Charles C. Souder.
I agree it's definitely some type of handstamp cancel, and the the pattern suggests that it could be a roller cancel. I did consider a revenue usage but you're right Dan, no way to know unless it was on document. For now it is in my "what the?!" stock book.
Hal - I looked but the book you list, but unfortunately I could not find an online copy to check that page. Do you have that book? If so any chance you can scan that page?
I would strongly lean toward this being on a registered letter. During the time this stamp was current the registry fee was 8 cents and the letter rate was 2 cents - so it is extremely common to find a solo 10 cent stamp on a registered cover.
