I'm in the beginning stages of writing a manuscript on New York State Postmaster and County cancels which will update and replace the work that the late David Proulx edited in 1990. The work will be published by the Empire State Postal History Society sometime in the next 2-3 years. This is a large undertaking and I know that I have missed information in my research. I have already contacted members of the ESPHS and received more information and now am trying to hit the larger philatelic community to find others who are interested in this area and have NYS material in their collections.

Any help that a reader can give will be most appreciated.

Glenn,

My apologies; this is what happens when I'm up too late. I just realized you wanted POSTMASTER cancels, not just New York. I'll look through and see if I have any, but I don't believe I do at this time - at least none from New York. Good luck with your research.

By the way, that is a spectacular example you posted. Thanks for sharing that gem with us.

Best regards,
Greg
