Are The Revalued Cut Square Off Of The Post Cards Valuable

Are they still valuable if they are cut from the card. I have some good full cards but I came across a bunch of the same but they are cut off but the whole stamp face and revalued part is all there. I tried the Scott book but all I found was the mint and used section. Here is the pick of one of the full cards that I am talking about.

The whole thing is preferred. If you have whole envelopes or postcards they are more valuable; cut squares have in most cases minimal value!

You should do a bit more research..., perhaps.
The two cent shown in your post, may have minimal value. But there are some, especially the larger denominations, that are fairly rare and valuable.

This looks like a U68, which means that it could be Scott U288 through U291. It depends on the paper. Scott values U288 and U290 significantly more than U289 and U291. Values in the Scott catalog are for very fine cut squares.

I would do some more research before selling.

Rule of thumb... if you have the full card or envelope,
valuable/rare (or not) *NEVER~EVER* cut them... leave
that up to your buyer, should he/she have the desire to
cut them... don't try to pre-think somebody else... the
decision is generally the wrong one...

In the US, cut squares from envelopes are collected, but cut squares from postal cards are generally frowned on.

The paper is blue I have quit a few on the blue paper. I came across this 1926 edition Scott Album its a nice old Book that you can bend the hard cover back and it opens up so you can take the pages out. Where the pages are fastened together it is cloth . Witch I kind of liked. It is the album that I would like to build but I am having a hard time finding the same type of pages to put into the album.But the good thing it had Alot of good stamps and the back of the book was pretty filled with the Cut squares and card stamps and tax stamps and so on. There were a few missing but im still going to keep looking maybe I will come across another one some day.

I recommend you have the cut square in the OP certified. My catalog notes that a U280 (inexpensive), when made from a worn die, can look like a U290 (expensive). On the other hand, you just might have a U290. Worth the effort to send for an expert opinion.
