Well done Horamkhet.

Sell it quickly before more are found.

You can see from the ongoing discoveries of the sideways inverted 2'6 Aborigine stamp that once people start looking, they will find them.

Interestingly, the 1908 20s Australian postage due stamp has only two known used copies. The first discovered copy sold in 2006 for $AUD60,000 (http://www.prestigephilately.com/ca...de=austpd)., A second copy offered in the US in 2014 realised just $US25,000 and I thought that was cheap (http://www.siegelauctions.com/lot_g.../2020&symbol[]=All&lotclass=All&syear=All&pfoper=All&pseoper=All&pfgrade=&psegrade=&gandor=or&keyword=&catselect=eq&pscolumn=default&pssortby=&sortord=DESC&photo=&calledfrom=lkp) but still too expensive for me!

The original sale of the first 1d sideways was an absolute hash and I think the sale price of around $AUD25,000 would have disappointed the vendor given the high initial expectations (up to $AUD150k was mooted).

Hi 64idgaf
The asking price was $75,000, and did not sell at auction.
It was later sold privately at an undisclosed price, which was near the reserve price.(No idea what the reserve was, but the vendor I believe was happy)
The copy I have is much superior and is not skinned and has no damage as the 1st copy did.
So mine at present is the only undamaged copy known.
The ACSC lists it at $85,0000( this is the original copy, which is damaged,) but as we all know catalogue prices are not always accurate.
So mine would have to be in the high end of the market.
I will sell it, in the near future,
As an aside, Gibbons still lists the Aboriginal stamp as 5500 english pounds in used condition.
Regards to all
Horamakhet

Hi guys,
Now I feel lost. Some are saying that sideways watermark are watermarks horizontally oriented on one of the stamp side, left or right. Then normal watermark I is vertical or you have inverted up side down.
Some others sources, if the crown for exemple is left or right and not in the center then is sideways wmk.
Here I see the exemple, only one small porion of the watermark is visible, is sideways wmk.
So all describe the here are sideways wmk?

The whole watermark needs to be sideways. Portions do not happen.

This rarity is strictly in the KGV's printings.

Other issues like Colonies or States for example sideways watermarks are common but some are not.

When you are talking about one or two stamps only is hugely rare.

In 1914 5 million 1d penny red KGV's were printed alone. Can you imagine how many KGV stamps were printed from 1914 to 1938?
