So many non-collectors think that because a stamp is old, it is valuable. I once had an acquaintance call me to ask the value of some "...really old stamps" that his brother-in-law had. He then proceeded to describe to me several common stamps from the mid 1980's. He was totally shocked when I told him that the 1980's is really old for computers, but just yesterday in stamps. He thought that they would all be worth 5 to 10 times their face value.

Jenny,

Let me say this..You and I know better and the regulars or Pillars would not at all..

I have a good sense of humor, but seriously, I have seen stranger things than be with some..Let me give you an example. Some individual once offered money to me to give him a strand of my hair when saw me at a party I attended with friends years ago. He never met someone like me before and wanted it his collection. Can you imagine how creepy and inappropriate that was? I said excuse me?.i said get away from me right now. I said you ask people you never met out of the blue this?... I surely did not want someone like that around me either, so my date and I left the party immediately. I did not cause a scene, I said it is time to leave. I decided to go with my date who knew host and had many others that attended. It was over 30 years ago. the man was serious too. You cannot imagine what some people do at times.

When you get someone to want to buy a strain of your hair, that is way off the wall for me, and off boundries in my eyes. Some people are just alittle different like that..Go buy a jewelry with hair in it and stay away from mine! lol..you can keep it around your neck and think its mine like they did in the 1800's instead..dream on..get lost now..lol..That is extreme, but some are weird..
If someone wanted to buy strands of my own hair, nothing puts pass what people would choose to own. I shake my head...

Why do you think certain individuals have their own stylists ect? so they are not exploited in manners that are inappropriate. The Seller of the book whatever, you don't know what intentions are. Most people who place things on ebay will definitely make a point to know what they are choosing to sell, so it is strange to do this behavior from this Seller. Like Peter expressed beware of characters that do things like that.

I offered $6.59 on the lot hoping to outdo anyone who may have offered $5. Fingers are crossed.

Blazenstar, what do you think was the deal with your hair? I might have asked him what was the specific interest, and then counteroffered 10 strands for $40.

Price gouging can be considered a Federal Criminal Offense..extorting money by placing exTreme price in different states..this Seller in my eyes could be possibly creating a criminal offense.
