Re-Entry..or Am I Seeing Things..?

Hi guys...Take a look at this Newfoundland Scott #72...I do own a 72p proof that has a re-entry on it according to Ralph at re-entries.com...It looks as though there is slight doubling in the right side oval..Unitrade shows no indication of any re-entry...I could be just seeing things...Any ideas..?

Sorry, it is a lot more apparent when looking at it as show when I down load.

Boy, very tough to see, but I agree with your general premise that there is a line there that shouldn't be. It looks pretty minor, but if it was mine, I would note it, send a note to Ralph, and move onto the next item.

Ya Partime..time to send it to Ralph..The 72p proof of this stamp had same areas of re-entry as this one has..Maybe..Just maybe....

If your proof has the exact same issue, this is probably normal for this stamp. You may want to review other copies first. It would be a very interesting statistical anomaly if your only two copies have the exact same re-entry.

Ralph did say the 72p was definately a re-entry..sooooo hoping on this one..

The stamp is different from the proof. THe proof is much clearer. I see something there, too. Best to send it to the expert on this one.

Here is a proof and stamp comparison on the 1/2d Scott 8. Both have the same extensive Major Re-entry at position 120. I don't own the stamp, only the proof below. I snafu'd the image of the stamp from the auction sale. I believe someone on this site did purchase it though.

ya jimjung...i will send it to Ralph one day, he is still under some stress..Let him alone until he is ready.
