I found this on the back of a Registered Mail envelope from Montreal to London, England. I can read most of it: MONTREAL P.O/9 PM/JUN 15/38. But then the bottom half of the postmark I can't read the first words. What does it say at the lower left?

I suspect the bottom reads "British Mail Branch".

Interesting! Did the British still have a Mail Branch in Montreal in 1938?
