I noticed a difference between 2 of the same stamp Scott # 1293 (Michel # 1643) The carmine stripe is of different widths.
on the one right the carmine stripe is 7.5mm wide and on left the stripe is 6mm wide. yet neither Scott or Michel states anything about variances. Any ideas how I should list this

Lee, if you look at the image on the LHS you will see that the green and red stripes overlap more than on the stamp on the RHS. It's a printing error of alignment, interesting and visually attractive but probably not mentioned in any catalogue as an error.

Is the overall design size different between the two? If not, I don't see how the overlap could different without the stripe being different between the two. The letters at the bottom also differ in color.

Thank you, Leejb1. You can definitely see a difference when looking between the T and the A in ITALIA. I would view these as different printing varieties. And now I'm going to have to check mine. I love the look of these stamps!
