How does one distinguish between Malta Sc 248 & 296 (1p black) and Malta Sc 250 & 297 (2p brown). According to the catalog, both 1 penny and both 2 pence stamps are engraved, same design, same perf and same color.

Have I missed something? Are there distinguishing features that Scott does not mention?

Thanks.

Don

Never mind, I figured it out. Sc 296-297 have the location of "Postage and Revenue" at the top in the design frame and at the bottom in the earlier issues. At least that the differences I can see, but are there others?
