Hi everyone, I am going over some Colombian stamps and I came across this one:
The stamp apparently honors the Colombian FD Roosevelt Institute. The children are saying "Don't pity us, help us!" and I know they feel. Can anyone come up with a Scott number for this one - I can't find it. Or is it not really a postage stamp but some other thing?
Let's be logical about this.... In 1962, what month had 39 days?
Just kidding. I don't know the answer, but I notice both children are wearing a leg brace. It obviously has something to do with Polio, FDR's well-know ailment.
Thanks for the replies, I had no thought about the lack of "Correos" on the stamp. The phrase at the bottom refers to "Law 30 of 1962". So my guess it that the Colombian FDR institute was chartered by the Colombian government in 1962.
