Thanks Kevin504. I didn't think so but had to ask as it makes it hard to look at colors with nothing to compare with. |

NewbyStamper....the shades/colors you were inquiring about would really stand out next to the regular shades. You are welcome. |

Newby,
You have a nice set here. You came to the right venue to ask your question. Color variations are difficult to determine without a side by side comparison.
Happy collecting! |

some of them look pretty nice and maybe unused, your higher value you are looking for may be more in the gum or lack there of on the back |

Comparing the different stamps of the set to each other, you can tell that they're all of a similar shade, namely carmine rose. I believe only the 1 cent parcel post stamp was issued in the rarer lake and carmine-lake shades. Nevertheless, its a beautiful, collectible set. Carmine-rose is a fairly common color used by the USPS and you can find many examples of it to use as a comparison model among the 1920-1930 US commemoratives. |

Thanks dcaraz and yeah Im just starting on some questions more to come on different sets and singles. Thanks Jim yeah some are unused and mint and of course the used ones. I would fill the holes in this set but for now I have all the stamps I can afford. One day they will leave and not come back. Thanks jmdregs for the information. Could you enlighten me on a stamp number that has a lake and carmine lake for future comparison. I have a lot of W/F as well.
Thanks Newby
