Ebay.com Or Ebay.ca ?

Does anyone out there know how these two (and other countries' listing) work together?
Some listings are common; the others are unique.
Does one have to search both sites to see all Canadian stamps on offer?

It depends which currency the seller wants to sell in, I prefer to use ebay.com and sell in American dollars. I find ebay.com slightly more improved than the .ca site. When you list on .com if you pay the fee for visibility then other countries can see your listing like Canada. If you don't pay the extra visibility fee per listing your listing may not been seen on other ebay sites. So it is a good idea to search each ebay site for your stamps as some on .com may not appear on .ca whereas others will. So yes you have to search .ca separately to see all Canadian stamps on offer

I agree with sak..ebay.com does have more features, but I started with .CA and migrating listings from one to the other isn't possible.

I don't think your sales will be much affected.

I believe you can do 200 on .com and 200 on .ca, doubling your fixed listing quota

The only problem is .ca & .com are in different currencies, if you list on both sites and get a buyer who bids on your listings from both sites. You cannot combine the invoice. Very messy and customers don't like making two payments. Its better to stick to one or the other and as stated pay for the internatonal visible ebay fee.

Canadians will shop on ebay.ca to avoid expensive shipping charges and taxes. But stamps are send by envelopes and clear the customs all the times and the cost is not that much, so for stamps I always shop to ebay.com and if I have few choice for the same stamps I will get a Canadian seller only to shorten the shipping time.

I get many buyers from Canada although I list on .com I send from Australia at a low $2.75 per envelope. I never had any customs trouble to Canada or USA or elsewhere. Postage time is still quick from here. I had three days to UK & USA in some cases and thats quicker than local oz mail.

Canada don't charge custom fees, they charge the Federal and the Provincial taxes for item over $20 even if it's a gift
If it come by Canada Post, they charge the taxes + $9.95 for processing
If it's by UPS or Fedex , UPS and Fedex charge an abusive broker fees, the difference is than UPS ask for it at delivery and Fedex send you an invoice by mail later.

But stamps come in envelopes with not customs declaration on it, so it pass true custom like any letter. Of course the seller should have made a declaration but ... we of course don't want they do so.....

I always put no value and printed matter on parcels to customers so they never get taxes or charges in any countries. On any parcels from Oz we have to do declaration but if its zero value printed matter then customs don't care, it just goes through.
